Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable big data solutions using Python and AWS to support JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Build and optimize data pipelines for processing large-scale financial datasets, ensuring high availability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists and business analysts to deliver technology products that address complex financial challenges
• Implement secure, compliant data architectures adhering to industry regulations and JP Morgan's internal standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical banking systems
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to best practices in software engineering within the team
• Integrate big data tools like Apache Spark or Hadoop with AWS services to enhance data analytics capabilities
• Participate in agile sprints to iteratively improve software products supporting trading, risk management, and customer services

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on big data technologies

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, and Lambda
• Strong understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes in a financial services environment
• Experience with version control systems like Git and agile methodologies
