Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS to support JP Morgan Chase's financial products and services
  • Collaborate with agile teams to integrate cloud solutions that enhance trading platforms, risk management systems, and customer-facing applications
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning and ensure consistency across environments
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency while maintaining high performance and security in a regulated financial environment
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including data scientists, compliance officers, and product managers to deliver innovative technology solutions
  • Contribute to the evolution of JP Morgan's cloud strategy, focusing on hybrid cloud architectures and disaster recovery
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure
  • Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and VPC
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards in financial services (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in agile environments with version control systems like Git
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification
  • Experience in financial services or fintech, with knowledge of regulatory requirements like GDPR or Basel III
