Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the Encompass loan origination system to support mortgage technology initiatives at JP Morgan Chase
  • Configure workflows, business rules, and custom fields within Encompass to align with evolving mortgage lending requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and compliance officers to optimize system performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Encompass integrations with core banking systems and third-party services
  • Ensure system security, data integrity, and adherence to federal regulations such as TILA, RESPA, and HMDA
  • Develop and execute testing strategies for Encompass updates, patches, and custom enhancements
  • Monitor system performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency in mortgage processing
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Encompass functionality and best practices
  • Participate in the design and rollout of state-of-the-art mortgage technology solutions
  • Document configurations, processes, and resolutions to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on system administration or configuration management
  • Proven experience administering Encompass loan origination software in a financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes and regulatory compliance in the banking sector
  • Experience with database management, including SQL Server, and integration with enterprise systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in high-stakes financial applications
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
