Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and optimize ESX virtualization platforms to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial operations
  • Implement automation scripts and tools to enhance reliability, scalability, and performance of virtualization infrastructure
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ESX environments to ensure 99.99% uptime for critical banking applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESX with cloud services and legacy systems
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for virtualization resources in high-stakes financial environments
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies and backup procedures for ESX clusters

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on virtualization technologies
  • Strong proficiency in VMware ESX/ESXi administration and management
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable virtualization environments in a financial services context
  • Demonstrated ability to automate infrastructure tasks using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
