Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable software solutions on Google Cloud Platform to support JP Morgan Chase's financial products
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver market-leading technology for trading, risk analysis, and customer banking services
• Implement best practices for cloud security, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Optimize application performance and cost-efficiency on GCP infrastructure
• Integrate GCP services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes, and BigQuery with existing JP Morgan systems
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality standards
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing on cloud technologies
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues in real-time financial applications
• Stay updated on emerging GCP features and apply them to enhance business capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on cloud platforms
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards in the financial services industry
• Experience working in agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
• Ability to handle complex technical challenges in high-stakes financial environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, or risk management software
• Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or Developer
• Prior work at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go for cloud-native development
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services (GCP Compute, Storage, Networking)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes on GKE)
• Strong skills in database management (Cloud SQL, BigQuery)
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Expertise in security protocols (IAM, encryption, compliance with FINRA/SEC)
• Agile and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Cloud Build)
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with financial data processing and real-time systems
• Version control with Git and collaborative tools like Jira
