Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that support JP Morgan Chase's core banking and trading platforms
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver secure, scalable technology products that meet regulatory requirements in the financial industry
• Leverage AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS to build cloud-native solutions for high-volume financial transactions
• Implement and optimize code for performance, ensuring low latency and high availability in mission-critical systems
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to uphold coding standards and security protocols
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime for global financial operations
• Contribute to architectural decisions, incorporating best practices for data security and compliance in fintech environments
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related frameworks
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Experience in secure coding practices and compliance with financial industry standards like PCI-DSS and GDPR
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in high-stakes financial environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior work in the financial services sector, particularly in banking or payments systems
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Oracle Java certifications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
