Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust Java-based applications to support JP Morgan Chase's financial products and services
• Collaborate with agile teams to build secure, scalable technology solutions on AWS infrastructure
• Implement and maintain microservices that ensure high availability and performance for global banking operations
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold coding standards and security protocols
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments
• Integrate systems with third-party APIs and internal financial data platforms
• Contribute to innovation in fintech solutions, focusing on risk management and transaction processing
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to audit processes
• Monitor and enhance system reliability using AWS tools like CloudWatch and Lambda

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related frameworks
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Experience in secure coding practices and compliance with financial industry regulations such as PCI-DSS and GDPR
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready code in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of optimizing system performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior work in the financial services sector, particularly in banking or payments systems
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot framework
• Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices design
• Experience with databases like SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
