Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications using AWS services to support JPMorgan Chase's financial products
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions for market-leading banking platforms
• Implement and maintain cloud-native architectures, ensuring high availability and performance in a regulated financial environment
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to uphold coding standards and security protocols
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production systems, minimizing downtime for critical financial services
• Contribute to the evolution of software engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical designs
• Ensure compliance with JPMorgan Chase's risk management and data privacy standards in all development activities
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software development within the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related frameworks
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Experience in secure coding practices and compliance with financial industry standards
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience in financial services or fintech applications
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot framework
• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices design
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of security principles (OAuth, encryption) in financial systems
• Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Problem-solving and debugging skills
• Communication and collaboration abilities
• Version control with Git
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
