Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality Java-based applications that support JP Morgan Chase's financial products and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions on AWS
• Implement and optimize cloud-native architectures, ensuring compliance with financial industry regulations like GDPR and SOX
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain high standards of code quality and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical banking systems
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform capabilities in areas like payments, trading, and client data management
• Contribute to innovation by exploring emerging technologies and proposing improvements to existing systems
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within the team
• Ensure all developments adhere to JP Morgan's security protocols and risk management frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related frameworks
• Proven experience in designing and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Experience in building secure and scalable technology solutions in the financial services domain
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices for code quality
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with financial systems, such as trading platforms or risk management tools
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)
• Prior experience at a large financial institution or in fintech

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java (JDK 8+), Spring Boot, and related frameworks
• Expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Maven
• Understanding of security best practices, including OAuth, encryption, and vulnerability scanning
• Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Knowledge of financial protocols (e.g., FIX, SWIFT) is a plus
