Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust Java-based applications on AWS infrastructure
• Implement and optimize PySpark jobs for large-scale data processing in financial datasets
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver secure, scalable technology products for market-leading solutions
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and maintain high-quality deliverables
• Integrate security best practices and compliance requirements into software development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments for financial systems
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system scalability improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team
• Monitor application performance and optimize for cost-efficiency in cloud environments
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to enhance JPMorgan Chase's tech stack

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
• Proficiency in PySpark for big data processing and analytics
• Experience working in agile methodologies within financial services
• Demonstrated ability to design secure and scalable software solutions
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience in financial technology or banking systems
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance in financial services (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
