Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that support JP Morgan Chase's core banking and financial services platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver secure, scalable technology products that meet regulatory requirements
• Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with financial industry standards such as SOX and Basel III
• Optimize application performance and scalability to handle high-volume financial transactions
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to maintain code quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to innovation in fintech solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing within the team
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Proficiency in building secure, scalable applications in a financial services environment
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards like GDPR and PCI-DSS
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality technology products

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in banking or payments
• Certifications in Java (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) or cloud technologies
• Prior work at a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
