Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin for a communications compliance platform
  • Build and optimize front-end user interfaces with React to enhance platform usability
  • Implement and manage distributed systems on AWS to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Integrate search technologies to power efficient data retrieval and analysis in compliance workflows
  • Collaborate with data engineers to process and store large volumes of financial communications data
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold code quality and security standards
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including compliance experts and product managers
  • Monitor and optimize system performance to meet regulatory and operational demands
  • Contribute to agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to innovate within JP Morgan Chase's tech ecosystem

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java or Kotlin
  • Proficiency in front-end development using React.js
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, and Lambda
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and data engineering principles
  • Experience building scalable search technologies, such as Elasticsearch
