Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust Java-based applications to support JP Morgan Chase's financial products and services
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions that meet business needs in the financial sector
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and implement best practices for maintainability and performance
• Integrate applications with core banking systems, APIs, and third-party services while prioritizing data security and compliance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical financial operations
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in development processes
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance JP Morgan's technology stack
• Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal security policies of JP Morgan Chase
• Analyze system performance and optimize code for efficiency in handling high-volume financial transactions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related frameworks
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable software solutions in a financial services environment
• Proficiency in building and maintaining high-performance applications handling large-scale data
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in code quality and testing
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, or risk management software at a major bank
