Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable software solutions using Java, Scala, Spark, and AWS technologies
• Collaborate with agile teams to build market-leading technology products for JP Morgan Chase's financial services
• Implement data-intensive applications handling large-scale financial datasets with emphasis on performance and reliability
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in all development cycles
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex systems to support real-time trading and risk analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps for innovation in banking technology
• Integrate cloud-native services to enhance scalability and cost-efficiency in AWS environments
• Analyze business requirements from stakeholders in investment banking or asset management
• Stay updated on emerging technologies to drive efficiency in JP Morgan's global operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java and/or Scala
• Proven experience with big data technologies including Apache Spark
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and secure software development practices
• Experience in financial services or high-stakes environments with emphasis on data security and compliance
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with financial data processing, risk management systems, or trading platforms
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Developer) or Spark
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like GDPR, SOX, or FINRA in the banking sector
