You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and optimization, using agile methodologies to deliver high-impact features iteratively. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust Python-based solutions for the Athena Risk Framework to support multiple Lines of Business (LOBs)
• Collaborate with agile teams including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver critical risk technology features
• Implement and optimize algorithms for real-time risk assessment and reporting in compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, secure software deliverables
• Integrate Athena Core Risk components with enterprise systems for seamless data flow and analytics
• Monitor and enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability in a high-volume financial environment
• Contribute to the evolution of risk management tools by incorporating emerging technologies and best practices
• Document technical designs, processes, and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing across teams
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on industry trends in financial risk technology and propose innovative improvements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python programming with experience in building scalable applications
• Experience working in agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of financial risk management principles and regulatory requirements in banking
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure, high-performance software solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Finance
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Athena
• Prior work in risk management systems within a financial institution
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Certifications in Python, AWS, or financial risk modeling

Required Skills

• Python programming expertise including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
• Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Knowledge of big data processing tools such as Apache Spark or AWS Athena
• Understanding of financial risk models, VaR, stress testing, and Basel regulations
• Agile development practices including Scrum and Kanban
• Version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for risk data handling
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in team settings

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
