About the Role

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a leading global financial services firm with assets of $3.7 trillion and operations worldwide. As a Software Engineer III in the Athena Core Risk team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that power risk management across multiple Lines of Business (LOBs), including investment banking, consumer banking, and asset management. Based in our state-of-the-art office in Brooklyn, NY, you will be part of an innovative agile team focused on the Athena Risk Framework—a proprietary platform that enables real-time risk analytics, compliance monitoring, and decision-making in a highly regulated environment. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in Python to architect scalable, secure applications that process vast datasets for risk assessment, such as Value at Risk (VaR) calculations, stress testing, and counterparty exposure modeling. Collaborating closely with data scientists, risk analysts, and business stakeholders, you will translate complex financial requirements into robust technical implementations, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks like Basel III and Dodd-Frank. Join us to make a meaningful difference in how the world's leading financial institution manages risk and empowers its clients.
