Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java for web and API applications in JP Morgan's financial platforms
• Execute and manage comprehensive test cycles, including unit, integration, system, and regression testing
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality code delivery in agile sprints
• Integrate testing processes with cloud-based CI/CD pipelines to support scalable financial services deployments
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues impacting trading or compliance systems
• Mentor junior SDETs on best practices for test automation and database validation
• Contribute to the evolution of testing frameworks to handle high-volume financial data and real-time transactions
• Ensure adherence to security and regulatory requirements in all testing activities
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability of new features
• Monitor and optimize test environments in cloud infrastructure for efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and automation
• Proficiency in Java programming with hands-on experience in building test frameworks
• Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and query optimization
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly in financial services environments
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute test cycles in agile methodologies
• Understanding of financial services regulations and data security standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior work in the banking or fintech sector, especially with trading or risk management systems
• Certifications such as ISTQB or AWS Certified Developer
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
