Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions for securities services platforms, focusing on custody and asset management systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, compliance officers, and product managers to define technical requirements
  • Implement and optimize APIs and microservices to support real-time securities processing and reporting
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and maintain high-quality, secure codebases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in high-volume trading environments
  • Integrate third-party systems for data exchange in global securities markets
  • Contribute to agile sprints, participating in daily stand-ups and sprint planning
  • Monitor system performance and scalability, recommending improvements for handling peak trading volumes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as MiFID II and HKMA guidelines
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive innovation in securities technology initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java or Python for backend development
  • Experience with building and maintaining scalable applications in a financial services environment
  • Knowledge of securities services, including custody, fund accounting, and asset servicing
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Demonstrated ability to work in agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Finance
  • Experience with JP Morgan's internal technology stack or similar banking systems
