Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms, ensuring 99.99% uptime for critical trading and banking systems
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate SRE best practices, including automation of deployments and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks using observability tools, reducing latency in real-time transaction processing
• Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during outages, adhering to financial regulatory requirements
• Lead incident response efforts, conducting post-mortems to improve system resilience and prevent recurrence in high-volume financial operations
• Optimize cloud resources on AWS to control costs while supporting scalable services for global banking clients
• Contribute to open-source SRE projects or internal tools that enhance reliability across JP Morgan's technology stack
• Mentor junior engineers on SRE principles, fostering a culture of reliability in the software engineering teams
• Ensure security and compliance in all infrastructure changes, integrating with JP Morgan's risk management frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on site reliability engineering (SRE) practices
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands-on experience in financial services environments
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Go, and experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining high-availability systems in regulated industries like banking
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with SRE tools and methodologies at a large-scale financial institution
