Key Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in tax reporting, providing technical guidance on complex regulatory requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to automate tax reporting processes and ensure compliance with IRS and international standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and business stakeholders to identify and solve tax-related business problems
• Implement innovative engineering practices, such as microservices architecture and DevOps pipelines, to enhance system efficiency
• Analyze and optimize existing tax reporting systems to handle high-volume data processing in a secure environment
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver high-quality, reliable software
• Stay updated on evolving tax laws and integrate changes into software applications proactively
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the JPMorgan Chase engineering community
• Ensure all solutions adhere to JPMorgan Chase's security and risk management protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on financial systems
• Strong understanding of tax reporting regulations and compliance in the financial services industry
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with database management systems like SQL Server or Oracle
• Ability to work collaboratively in agile teams to deliver scalable solutions
