Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable Kubernetes-based services across public and private cloud environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build resilient and fault-tolerant applications for financial platforms
  • Implement security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and vulnerability assessments, to protect sensitive banking data
  • Optimize application performance and resource utilization in Kubernetes clusters to support high-volume trading and transaction systems
  • Integrate services with JP Morgan's internal tools and APIs, ensuring seamless interoperability
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to maintain 24/7 uptime for critical financial services
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold engineering standards
  • Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and apply them to enhance JP Morgan's infrastructure
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Support on-call rotations to ensure rapid resolution of incidents in live environments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards in financial services
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
