Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive cybersecurity solutions for CIB Payments applications and platforms to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams to integrate security best practices into payment system architectures
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of advanced security technologies, such as zero-trust models and encryption protocols, tailored to financial transactions
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for high-impact payment platforms, identifying vulnerabilities in real-time processing environments
• Drive innovation in cybersecurity architecture by incorporating emerging technologies like blockchain and API security for secure payments
• Mentor junior architects and provide strategic guidance on cybersecurity roadmaps aligned with JP Morgan Chase's global standards
• Oversee the response to security incidents in payment systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Develop and maintain documentation for cybersecurity architectures, including diagrams and compliance reports for audits
• Partner with external vendors to assess and integrate third-party security solutions into JP Morgan's payment ecosystem
• Contribute to firm-wide cybersecurity policies, focusing on the unique challenges of the CIB Payments domain

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, with at least 5 years in financial services or banking
• Proven track record in designing and implementing secure architectures for high-volume payment systems
• Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOX in the financial sector
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in cybersecurity initiatives within a global enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of cloud security architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JP Morgan Chase's internal security frameworks and tools
• Background in payments processing and real-time transaction systems
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven threat detection in financial applications
• Prior leadership in cybersecurity projects for CIB (Corporate & Investment Bank) divisions
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent advanced education

• Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK
• Proficiency in secure coding practices and DevSecOps methodologies
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM) tools like Okta or SailPoint
• Advanced understanding of encryption, key management, and data protection in transit/rest
• Familiarity with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel)
• Analytical problem-solving for complex threat landscapes in financial services
• Leadership and communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Risk assessment and vulnerability management expertise
• Knowledge of payment protocols like SWIFT, ISO 20022, and real-time payments
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar for security tooling
• Project management abilities using Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Adaptability to evolving regulatory and threat environments
• Technical documentation and presentation skills
