About the Role

At JP Morgan Chase, we are at the forefront of redefining the future of financial services through innovation and unwavering commitment to security. As a Sr Lead Cybersecurity Architect in our Threat Modeling Center of Excellence (CoE), you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our global operations against evolving cyber threats. Based in Plano, TX, this position within the Architecture category involves leading a community of experts to develop and implement robust threat modeling practices. You will drive initiatives that protect critical assets in consumer banking, investment management, and commercial services, ensuring our clients' trust and the firm's resilience in a highly regulated industry. Your primary focus will be to champion threat modeling as a core discipline, integrating it seamlessly into JP Morgan's development processes. This includes conducting in-depth analyses of potential vulnerabilities in complex systems like mobile banking apps, trading platforms, and data repositories. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify risks such as insider threats, phishing campaigns, and advanced persistent threats (APTs) specific to the financial sector. By leveraging methodologies like STRIDE and tools from OWASP, you will help architect defenses that align with our zero-trust framework and comply with stringent regulations including PCI-DSS and GDPR. In this leadership role, you will mentor junior architects, foster a culture of proactive security within the CoE community, and report directly to senior cybersecurity executives. You will also contribute to thought leadership by publishing internal guidelines and presenting at firm-wide forums. Joining JP Morgan Chase means being part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and impact—empowering you to shape the cybersecurity landscape for one of the world's largest financial institutions while advancing your career in a supportive, high-growth environment.
