Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across JP Morgan Chase's application and product lines to define non-functional requirements and availability targets for critical financial services
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure to ensure 99.99% uptime for trading, risk management, and client-facing platforms
• Develop and automate monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes using tools like PagerDuty and ELK stack
• Lead root cause analysis for production incidents, focusing on minimizing downtime in regulated financial systems
• Optimize system performance and reliability through capacity planning and resource management in cloud environments
• Mentor junior engineers on SRE best practices tailored to the financial industry's security and compliance needs
• Integrate security measures into reliability engineering workflows to protect sensitive financial data
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing for JP Morgan's global operations
• Drive continuous improvement in deployment pipelines to support rapid iteration in fintech products
• Partner with product teams to align reliability goals with business objectives in areas like digital banking and asset management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or software engineering roles
• Proven track record in designing and implementing high-availability systems in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with experience in regulated financial infrastructures
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, or Datadog for mission-critical applications
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and GDPR relevant to banking and financial services
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and compliance officers

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working at a large financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional SRE
• Background in agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for financial applications
• Familiarity with chaos engineering practices in high-stakes financial environments
