Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of cloud-native solutions to support JP Morgan Chase's core banking, trading, and risk management platforms
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet financial regulatory standards and business objectives
• Drive the migration of legacy on-premises systems to cloud environments, optimizing for cost, performance, and scalability
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers in best practices for cloud security, DevOps, and infrastructure as code
• Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and innovation in financial services
• Conduct code reviews, architectural assessments, and performance tuning for high-availability applications handling billions in transactions
• Partner with global stakeholders to align cloud strategies with JP Morgan's enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to maintain 99.99% uptime for mission-critical financial systems
• Contribute to thought leadership by presenting on cloud architecture trends at internal forums or industry conferences

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud architecture and distributed systems
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Deep expertise in financial services technology, including regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX) and secure data handling
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver high-impact projects
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or MBA with a focus on technology management
• Experience in fintech innovations such as blockchain, AI/ML integration in cloud environments, or real-time payment systems
• Prior work at a major financial institution, with knowledge of capital markets or investment banking platforms
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or equivalent
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior engineers and driving technical strategy in a global organization
