Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java applications deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver critical technology solutions for financial services platforms
• Implement secure, resilient systems that adhere to JP Morgan Chase's risk and compliance standards
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in software engineering
• Integrate AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS to optimize application performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments to ensure 24/7 availability
• Contribute to the evolution of fintech solutions, including real-time transaction processing and data analytics
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to enhance team productivity
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovations for JP Morgan's digital transformation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java-based applications
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex technical challenges in a high-stakes financial environment
• Experience with secure coding practices and compliance with financial regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in banking or investment platforms
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Oracle Java certifications
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior work on large-scale, mission-critical systems at a global financial institution

Required Skills

• Expertise in Java programming, including Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with databases such as SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
• Understanding of security protocols, encryption, and vulnerability management in financial systems
• Agile and Scrum methodologies, with tools like Jira or Confluence
• Problem-solving and analytical skills for debugging complex distributed systems

• Knowledge of financial domain concepts like transaction processing and regulatory compliance
