Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications in cloud environments to support JP Morgan's financial products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, risk analysts, and compliance officers to deliver innovative solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in software engineering within the firm's technology stack
• Optimize and enhance existing systems for performance, scalability, and security in high-volume trading scenarios
• Implement robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing for financial applications
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GDPR, SOX, and FINRA in all software deliverables
• Contribute to architectural decisions for cloud-native applications, leveraging AWS or similar platforms
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues in real-time trading and banking systems
• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, technical debt reduction, and adoption of emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related technologies
• Proven experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on scalable financial applications
• Strong understanding of financial services domain, including regulatory compliance and secure data handling
• Experience leading engineering teams in agile environments, delivering high-impact projects
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement microservices architectures in a banking context

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JP Morgan's internal tools and platforms, such as proprietary trading systems
• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Java (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional)
• Background in developing applications for capital markets or risk management in financial institutions

• Expertise in Java programming, including Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks
