Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust Java applications deployed on AWS, ensuring scalability and performance for financial services platforms
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate complex financial requirements into technical solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in code quality, testing, and security within JP Morgan Chase's engineering teams
• Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS to support secure transaction processing
• Conduct code reviews, implement automated testing, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real-time, minimizing downtime for critical banking applications
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies to enhance efficiency in areas like risk management and fraud detection
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to deliver iterative value to the business
• Document technical designs and contribute to knowledge sharing across the global JP Morgan Chase technology organization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Java-based applications
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of financial services technologies, including secure data handling and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver high-impact projects
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
