Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end payment solutions tailored for LATAM markets, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's global standards and local regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to define technical roadmaps for payments platforms, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as APIs, cloud-native services, and AI-driven fraud detection into payment architectures
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and development teams across LATAM regions
• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and performance optimizations for high-volume transaction systems
• Drive innovation in cross-border payments, including integration with local schemes and real-time processing capabilities
• Ensure solutions comply with data privacy laws (e.g., LGPD in Brazil, GDPR equivalents) and financial security protocols
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, resilient architectural designs
• Monitor industry trends in LATAM fintech and recommend strategic enhancements to JP Morgan's payments ecosystem

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years focused on payments systems in the financial services industry
• Proven track record in leading large-scale solution architecture projects in LATAM markets, including compliance with regional regulations like BCRA and local payment schemes
• Deep expertise in designing secure, scalable payment platforms integrating with global networks such as SWIFT, Visa, and Mastercard
• Strong understanding of cloud architectures (AWS, Azure) and microservices in a financial context
• Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership in multinational environments
• Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus for broader LATAM coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar, working on payments innovation
• Knowledge of blockchain or real-time payment systems (e.g., Pix in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico)
• MBA or advanced certification in financial technology (FinTech)

• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for financial applications
• Strong knowledge of payment protocols (ISO 20022, SWIFT messaging)
