Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions that support JP Morgan Chase's core banking and investment services
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives in the financial services domain
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and risk management standards in all engineering practices, particularly for handling sensitive financial data
• Drive agile processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline optimization to accelerate delivery of mission-critical applications
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, architecting solutions for high-availability systems that support global trading and client services
• Coach team members on emerging technologies like AI/ML and blockchain to enhance JP Morgan's competitive edge in fintech
• Monitor team performance, conduct regular reviews, and contribute to talent development strategies within the organization
• Partner with cross-regional teams in Bengaluru to integrate local innovations with JP Morgan's global technology ecosystem

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in secure financial applications
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach engineers on best practices in software development and architecture
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to banking and financial services, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, or SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Advanced certifications in software engineering or cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Background in developing high-frequency trading systems or risk management platforms
• Familiarity with machine learning applications in fraud detection or algorithmic trading
• Prior involvement in digital transformation initiatives within the fintech space

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for building robust financial applications
