Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams, providing technical coaching and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers, to deliver high-impact projects in areas like digital banking and risk analytics
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and security protocols tailored to financial regulations
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring system reliability and performance in a 24/7 global trading environment
• Provide strategic technical advisory to senior leadership on emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and cloud-native architectures
• Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and performance metrics for engineering teams to meet JP Morgan's innovation goals
• Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within engineering teams, promoting a collaborative and inclusive workplace
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, integrating them into JP Morgan's technology roadmap

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in the financial services industry, particularly in banking or capital markets
• Deep expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and Basel III
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a financial context
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master's in a technical field
• Experience with Java, Python, or Scala in high-frequency trading or risk management systems
• Certification in PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar
• Prior work at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of machine learning applications in fraud detection or algorithmic trading

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for enterprise-level applications
• Expertise in cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
