Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams, providing technical coaching and guidance to ensure high-quality code delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical roadmaps aligned with JP Morgan Chase's business objectives in financial services
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions for banking and investment platforms
• Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, microservices architecture, and secure coding standards
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data privacy standards in all engineering initiatives
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, optimizing system performance and reliability for high-volume financial transactions
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within teams, promoting agile methodologies
• Conduct code reviews, technical assessments, and performance evaluations for team members
• Partner with product managers to translate business requirements into robust technical implementations
• Contribute to strategic planning for technology investments in the Hyderabad engineering hub

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading multiple engineering teams in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services sector
• Deep expertise in modern software development practices, including agile methodologies and DevOps
• Strong understanding of financial systems, data security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on scalable architectures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and coach technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or agile (e.g., SAFe Agilist)
• Background in developing trading platforms, risk management systems, or payment processing solutions
• Familiarity with machine learning applications in finance
• Advanced degree or MBA with a focus on technology management

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for backend development
