Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams in designing scalable Java-based applications for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Provide technical coaching and advisory on AWS cloud migrations and optimizations to ensure high availability and performance
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals in risk management and trading systems
• Oversee the implementation of secure coding practices compliant with financial regulations like SOX and GDPR
• Drive agile methodologies, including sprint planning and code reviews, to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Identify and resolve technical debt, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within teams
• Partner with architecture teams to define enterprise standards for microservices and API integrations
• Monitor system performance and scalability, implementing monitoring tools to support 24/7 financial operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in an Agile environment
• Proven track record in cloud architecture, specifically with AWS services
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and data security standards
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

• Experience in developing trading platforms or risk management systems in banking
