Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation
• Design and architect scalable Java-based applications deployed on AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with financial services goals
• Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to secure coding practices and compliance with industry regulations
• Drive technical strategy for cloud migration and optimization within JP Morgan Chase's technology ecosystem
• Conduct code reviews, promote best practices, and resolve complex technical challenges
• Implement monitoring and performance tuning for high-availability systems in a 24/7 financial operations environment
• Foster cross-team knowledge sharing and contribute to the recruitment and development of engineering talent
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to risk management and trading platforms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in agile environments
• Proven track record in cloud architecture, specifically AWS services
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and data security standards
• Experience in mentoring and coaching technical teams to deliver high-quality software
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced financial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing scalable applications for banking or fintech sectors
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Java SE certifications
