Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable storage and data management solutions to support JPMorganChase's global infrastructure platforms
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of storage technologies to ensure high availability and performance for financial applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, security, and compliance to align data strategies with regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks to manage petabyte-scale data assets in compliance with financial industry standards
• Optimize storage architectures for cost-efficiency while supporting real-time trading, risk management, and analytics workloads
• Mentor junior architects and provide technical leadership in infrastructure projects
• Conduct risk assessments and disaster recovery planning for storage systems critical to banking operations
• Integrate emerging technologies like cloud-native storage and edge computing into existing JPMorganChase ecosystems
• Monitor and troubleshoot storage performance issues to minimize downtime in 24/7 financial environments
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps for data management evolution within Infrastructure Platforms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in storage and data management architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-level storage solutions in a financial services environment
• Deep expertise in data governance, compliance, and risk management standards such as GDPR, SOX, and Basel III
• Experience with cloud storage platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage) and hybrid cloud architectures
• Strong understanding of financial data security protocols and regulatory requirements in banking
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-stakes, mission-critical projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as Certified Storage Networking Expert (SCSE) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps practices within financial infrastructure
• Prior work at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to trading systems or risk analytics
• Knowledge of AI/ML data pipelines and big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark
• MBA or equivalent business acumen in financial services
