Key Responsibilities

• Design and lead the architecture of advanced machine learning solutions for JP Morgan Chase's financial products, ensuring scalability and integration with core banking systems
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data pipelines that support predictive analytics for risk management and customer insights
• Oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks to comply with global financial regulations and internal JP Morgan standards
• Architect secure, resilient data platforms in the Dublin Tech Centre, leveraging cloud-native technologies for real-time ML inference
• Mentor junior architects and drive innovation in AI-driven financial services, including automation of compliance and fraud detection
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies like generative AI into the firm's data ecosystem, aligning with strategic business goals
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data architectures to handle petabyte-scale datasets from trading, lending, and investment banking
• Partner with global teams to ensure architectural consistency across JP Morgan's international operations
• Develop roadmaps for evolving data infrastructure to support future ML innovations in sustainable finance and personalized banking
• Lead proof-of-concept projects for new ML applications, measuring impact on operational efficiency and client outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years in designing scalable data platforms for financial services
• Proven expertise in machine learning architectures and integrating ML models into enterprise data ecosystems
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in finance, including GDPR, PCI-DSS, and Basel III requirements
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments within large-scale organizations
• Demonstrated ability to architect solutions for high-volume, real-time data processing in a global banking context
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on data governance and security

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field with emphasis on AI/ML
• Experience in fraud detection, risk modeling, or algorithmic trading systems at a major financial institution
• Certification in data architecture (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) or cloud architecture
• Prior work with JP Morgan Chase or similar Tier 1 banks on data transformation initiatives
• Knowledge of sustainable finance data practices and ESG reporting frameworks

Required Skills

• Expertise in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes using tools like Apache Kafka, Spark, and Airflow
• Proficiency in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn for financial applications
• Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Snowflake)
• Experience with cloud services including AWS S3, Lambda, and SageMaker for secure data handling
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and encryption standards in financial data environments
• Agile methodologies and DevOps practices for rapid iteration in data projects
• Analytical problem-solving with a focus on business impact in high-stakes financial scenarios
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex architectures to executive stakeholders
• Leadership and team collaboration in multicultural, global teams
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data pipeline development
