Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics models to assess credit risk and support decision-making in the Cards business
  • Analyze customer data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive resilient growth strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including risk, product, and technology to implement data-driven solutions
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on portfolio performance, fraud detection, and customer behavior
  • Validate and monitor risk models to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Create dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate insights to leadership
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing quantitative analysis on market trends and competitive landscapes
  • Contribute to the development of machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics in consumer lending
  • Assist in stress testing and scenario analysis for the Cards portfolio
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in financial analytics

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics, risk management, or data modeling within the financial services industry
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and manipulation
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, fraud analytics, or consumer lending in the cards business
  • Experience with statistical modeling and data visualization tools
  • Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings to senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or MBA with a focus on finance
  • Experience in the consumer banking or credit card sector at a major financial institution
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Basel III or CCAR for risk modeling
  • Certification in data analytics (e.g., CFA, FRM) or machine learning
  • Prior internship or role at JPMorgan Chase or similar firm
