Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate Swiss payroll data for accuracy, ensuring compliance with local tax, social security, and labor regulations
  • Collaborate with HR partners and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries in a timely manner
  • Monitor and implement updates to Swiss payroll legislation, integrating changes into operational processes
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including year-end statements and audit-ready documentation for JP Morgan's EMEA operations
  • Support payroll audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and financial reporting standards
  • Liaise with external vendors and tax authorities in Switzerland to facilitate seamless payroll delivery
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the Global HR Payroll Team
  • Provide guidance to junior associates on Swiss-specific payroll procedures and best practices
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee financial information
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects, such as payroll system migrations or cross-border payroll alignments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 2 years focused on Swiss payroll regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of Swiss labor laws, social security contributions, and tax withholding requirements
  • Proficiency in payroll software such as SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS systems
  • Strong understanding of EMEA payroll processes and compliance standards in the financial services sector
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German or French is highly advantageous for Swiss operations
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent
