Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate trade settlements for equities, fixed income, and derivatives in accordance with client instructions and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitor and reconcile daily transaction flows to ensure accuracy and timely settlement, minimizing operational risks
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including front office traders and compliance, to resolve discrepancies and exceptions
  • Utilize JPMorgan's proprietary systems to input, track, and report on transaction statuses
  • Conduct quality checks on transaction data to prevent errors and ensure compliance with global standards
  • Analyze settlement reports and provide insights on process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Support month-end and quarter-end reconciliation processes for accurate financial reporting
  • Assist in training junior team members and contribute to departmental knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Stay updated on industry changes, such as new regulations from EMIR or MiFID II, and implement necessary adjustments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in transaction processing, trade settlements, or financial operations
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive transactions
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services, such as SEC, FINRA, or equivalent international standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SWIFT messaging, DTCC, or other trade settlement systems
  • Familiarity with JPMorgan Chase's internal systems like Flexcube or similar banking platforms
  • Certification in financial operations, such as CFA Level 1 or Operations Professional certification
  • Prior exposure to cross-border transactions and multi-currency settlements
