Key Responsibilities

• Lead the BASS team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology risks across infrastructure platforms at JP Morgan Chase
• Develop and implement robust controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in the financial services sector
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and compliance, to maintain operational integrity in a dynamic risk landscape
• Conduct regular risk assessments and control testing for infrastructure systems supporting banking operations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for risk management processes, leveraging data analytics and industry best practices
• Provide expert guidance on emerging risks such as cybersecurity threats and third-party vendor dependencies
• Report on risk metrics and control effectiveness to senior leadership and regulatory bodies
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of risk awareness within the Technology Risk & Services category
• Ensure alignment of infrastructure platforms with JP Morgan's enterprise risk framework
• Support audit and regulatory examinations by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in technology risk management, controls, or compliance within the financial services industry
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams focused on infrastructure platforms and risk assessment
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and Basel III relevant to banking technology
• Experience with risk assessment frameworks and control testing in a large-scale financial institution
• Certification in risk management (e.g., CRISC, CISA) or equivalent professional qualification
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments in a global banking organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in a relevant discipline
• Experience working at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and associated risks
• Prior involvement in audit processes for technology infrastructure in banking
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal risk management tools and methodologies
