Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for JP Morgan Chase's financial software applications, including user guides, API references, and system overviews
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in all written materials
• Translate complex financial concepts, such as risk management models and trading algorithms, into accessible language for diverse audiences including internal stakeholders and clients
• Create and edit content for digital platforms, ensuring consistency with JP Morgan's brand voice and style guidelines
• Conduct research and interviews with subject matter experts to gather information for documentation projects
• Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in financial regulations, product updates, or technological advancements
• Support training initiatives by developing instructional materials for new hires and ongoing professional development in the financial services domain
• Participate in agile sprints to provide timely documentation support for software releases and ensure alignment with project timelines
• Ensure all documentation adheres to accessibility standards and best practices for global distribution within JP Morgan's international operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communication, or a related field
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience as a technical writer in a corporate environment, preferably in financial services
• Proven ability to write clear, concise documentation for complex technical subjects
• Strong understanding of financial products, regulations, and compliance standards such as GDPR and FCA guidelines
• Experience with documentation tools like MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or Confluence
• Excellent command of English grammar, style, and punctuation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector, particularly with investment banking or asset management documentation
• Familiarity with API documentation and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Certification in technical writing (e.g., from STC or similar organizations)
