Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology operational risks within the Compliance Conduct Operational Risk Tech & Cyber team
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with technology and cyber teams to evaluate risks in IT infrastructure, software development, and data security
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities in financial systems
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and report on operational risk metrics to senior management and regulators
  • Support the firm's CCOR (Corporate & Investment Bank Control, Compliance, and Operational Risk) initiatives for country and line-of-business coverage
  • Provide guidance on risk controls for technology projects, including agile development and digital transformation efforts
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs on operational risk for technology teams
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to standards like SOX and FFIEC guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement in risk management processes to enhance resilience in JP Morgan's global operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operational risk management, with a focus on technology and cyber risks in the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading risk assessment and mitigation programs within a large-scale financial institution
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, OCC guidelines, and GDPR relevant to operational risk in banking
  • Experience in compliance and conduct risk management, particularly in technology and cyber domains
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, and business units
  • Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, or FRM
