Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology risks across JP Morgan Chase's platforms and operations
• Develop and maintain robust control frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in the financial services sector
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, and business units to integrate risk management into technology initiatives
• Conduct regular audits and testing of controls to uphold operational integrity and resilience in a dynamic risk landscape
• Provide expert guidance on emerging technology risks, such as those from AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity threats in banking
• Report on risk metrics and control effectiveness to senior leadership and regulatory bodies
• Drive continuous improvement in risk and control processes, leveraging data analytics for proactive risk identification
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of risk awareness within the Technology Risk & Services category
• Ensure alignment with JP Morgan's global standards for technology governance and ethical practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technology risk management, controls, or compliance within the financial services industry
• Proven track record in leading risk assessment and control implementation in a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOX, and Basel III relevant to financial institutions
• Experience with enterprise risk management tools and methodologies in a banking context
• Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, or CISSP
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Risk Management or a related discipline
• Experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
