Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology risks across JP Morgan Chase's platforms and systems
• Develop and maintain robust control frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in the financial services sector
• Collaborate with technology, business, and compliance teams to integrate risk management into project lifecycles
• Conduct regular audits and testing of controls to uphold operational integrity and resilience
• Monitor emerging risks in a dynamic landscape, including cyber threats and regulatory changes impacting banking operations
• Provide expert guidance on risk and controls to senior leadership and report on key metrics and incidents
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for risk management processes within the Technology Risk & Services category
• Ensure alignment with JP Morgan's global risk appetite and contribute to enterprise-wide risk strategies
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of risk awareness in Bournemouth-based operations
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and support responses to audits specific to UK financial regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology risk management, controls, or compliance within the financial services industry
• Proven track record in leading risk assessment and mitigation programs in a regulated environment
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOX, and Basel III applicable to financial institutions
• Experience with enterprise risk management tools and methodologies in a banking context
• Professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams in high-stakes technology environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Risk Management or a related discipline
• Prior experience working at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001
• Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps practices within risk and compliance
• Familiarity with cloud computing risks in AWS, Azure, or similar platforms used by JP Morgan
