Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support Java-based applications deployed on AWS infrastructure to ensure seamless operations for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues impacting trading, risk management, or client services
• Monitor application performance and scalability using AWS tools, optimizing for cost-efficiency and reliability in a high-stakes financial environment
• Implement innovative solutions to business challenges, leveraging cloud-native technologies to enhance security and compliance
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and testing to uphold code quality standards aligned with JP Morgan's engineering excellence
• Provide technical support for production incidents, minimizing downtime for critical banking systems
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes, including automation scripting and documentation
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate them into support strategies for JP Morgan's global technology ecosystem
• Ensure adherence to data privacy and cybersecurity protocols in all support activities
• Mentor junior team members on best practices in Java and AWS within the financial services domain

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in software engineering or technology support roles
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented design principles
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, and Lambda
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in the financial services industry or with regulated systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in a banking context
• Knowledge of financial regulations like GDPR, SOX, or PCI-DSS
