This includes performing due diligence on vendors, monitoring compliance with contracts and risk thresholds, and collaborating with internal teams to mitigate potential exposures. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Third Party Governance Vice President in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and controls for the Third-Party Governance Program
  • Conduct due diligence assessments on potential and existing third-party vendors to ensure compliance with JP Morgan Chase standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor ongoing third-party performance, including risk assessments, contract reviews, and issue remediation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Compliance, and Business Units to enhance governance processes
  • Prepare and deliver reports on third-party risks and program metrics to senior leadership
  • Support the execution of third-party audits and regulatory examinations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in third-party oversight
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with JP Morgan Chase's data governance policies
  • Facilitate training sessions on third-party governance best practices for internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor oversight, or compliance within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as OCC, FDIC, and Basel III guidelines related to third-party engagements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Finance or Risk Management
  • Experience with third-party governance frameworks in a large financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Certification in risk management such as CRISC, CISA, or FRM
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity risks in third-party relationships
