Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement governance frameworks for third-party programs within JP Morgan Chase's Consumer and Community Banking division
  • Oversee risk assessments and due diligence processes for vendor selection and ongoing monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations governing third-party relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and operations to mitigate risks
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of program documentation, reporting, and audit trails
  • Monitor third-party performance metrics and escalate issues to senior leadership as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in third-party oversight processes
  • Provide strategic advice on third-party engagements to support business objectives in consumer banking
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs on third-party governance for internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in third-party risk management, governance, or oversight within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in managing complex third-party programs and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Strong understanding of banking regulations such as OCC, FDIC, and CFPB guidelines related to third-party relationships
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and due diligence for vendor partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a large-scale financial institution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Finance or Risk Management
  • Certification in Third-Party Risk Management (e.g., CT RM or similar)
  • Prior experience at a major bank like JP Morgan Chase in consumer banking oversight
