Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the FX trading desk by validating, booking, and confirming trades in a timely manner
  • Perform trade reconciliations between front office systems and middle office records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Monitor and resolve trade breaks, static data issues, and settlement queries in collaboration with operations teams
  • Assist in the production of risk and P&L reports for FX portfolios, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including traders, sales, and compliance to support efficient trade execution
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance middle office efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls for FX activities
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including valuation and reporting
  • Handle ad-hoc queries and escalations from clients or external counterparties related to FX trades

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trade support, middle office operations, or FX trading within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of foreign exchange (FX) products, including spot, forwards, options, and swaps
  • Proficiency in trade lifecycle management, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Experience with financial systems such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or Murex
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and compliance standards in a banking environment
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA Level 1 or FRM (Financial Risk Manager)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's) in Finance or related discipline
  • Prior experience working in a global investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with UK/EU regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II and EMIR
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools for trade processing and data analysis
