Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of trades across various asset classes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulations
  • Monitor and analyze trading activities to identify and mitigate operational risks
  • Collaborate with front-office traders, middle-office teams, and external counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in trade settlement and reconciliation
  • Perform daily reconciliations of trade data between internal systems and external clearing houses
  • Assist in the preparation of risk reports and management information for senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting and audit processes, maintaining accurate records
  • Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes impacting trading services
  • Provide training and support to junior team members on trading workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in trading operations, financial services, or a similar analytical role
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trade lifecycle, and regulatory requirements such as MiFID II and EMIR
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with trading platforms like Bloomberg or Reuters
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume, time-sensitive tasks
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA Level 1 or Series 7 (or equivalent in the UK)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global investment bank or asset management firm
  • Knowledge of derivatives, fixed income, or equity trading products
  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance or related discipline
  • Prior exposure to process automation and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
