In this client-facing role within the Client Management category, you will oversee the end-to-end transaction process for a portfolio of community development loans, from origination to closing and monitoring. Responsibilities include performing detailed financial due diligence, structuring deals to maximize community impact, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations such as the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). You will collaborate closely with developers, non-profits, and internal partners at JPMorgan Chase to deliver creative financing solutions, such as those involving Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) or New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), while mitigating risks and driving measurable outcomes like job creation and affordable housing units. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of community development loans focused on affordable housing and economic development projects, ensuring timely transaction processing and compliance
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective deals, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and site evaluations
  • Collaborate with clients, developers, and internal teams to structure financing solutions that align with JPMorgan Chase's community impact goals
  • Monitor ongoing transactions, track performance metrics, and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
  • Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, non-profits, and government agencies to source new opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to JPMorgan Chase's risk management policies and community reinvestment act (CRA) requirements
  • Support the development of innovative financing products for underserved markets
  • Participate in industry events and contribute to thought leadership in community development finance
  • Assist in mentoring junior team members and contributing to team-wide training initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community development finance, affordable housing, or economic development lending
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing community development banking, including CRA and HMDA
  • Proven track record in managing loan portfolios and transaction processing in a financial services environment
  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis for real estate or development projects
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client meetings and site visits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA)
  • Prior experience working with non-profit organizations or community development entities
  • Knowledge of tax credit programs such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credits)
