Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new treasury management opportunities with State and Local Governments in the Chicago region and surrounding areas
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government decision-makers, including treasurers, CFOs, and procurement officers
  • Develop customized treasury solutions tailored to government needs, such as efficient cash flow management and compliance with public finance regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product specialists and risk management, to deliver comprehensive financial services
  • Conduct market analysis to understand government fiscal challenges and position JPMorgan Chase as a strategic partner
  • Lead sales presentations, RFPs, and negotiations to secure new business and expand existing accounts
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide ongoing advisory support to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes in public sector finance and integrate them into client strategies
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of sales strategies for the government segment
  • Represent JPMorgan Chase at industry conferences and government finance events to enhance brand visibility

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in treasury management, commercial banking, or financial services sales
  • Proven track record in generating new business and managing client relationships within the public sector
  • Deep knowledge of treasury products including cash management, liquidity solutions, and payment processing
  • Strong understanding of State and Local Government financial regulations and funding mechanisms
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior government officials
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the Midwest region

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) or relevant certifications (e.g., CTP - Certified Treasury Professional)
  • Prior experience working directly with State or Local Government entities in a sales or advisory capacity
